Startups have flourished in 2010. The last 12 months have yielded some fantastic success stories. Groupon is a standout and is currently receiving a lot of attention, buzz and press. Some believe the latest wave of start-ups are driving a dot-com recovery. Either way, as designers, it is interesting to reflect and see what design trends and styles are used by some of the world's newest and most innovative companies.

Below are 50 logos for tech start-ups that were launched in 2010 or that came to prominence in 2010. We've categorized them into 3 groups: "The Good", "The Average" and "The Ugly".

Great list!

Don't know if the Rockmelt logo belongs in the "Good" section, though. It being a doctored up version of the OSX Network icon and all.

WOW! - this is an amazing list.

What I find astounding, apart from the quality of some of these logos, is that quite a few of these companies are now massive with just a one year start! Take Spotify, trada (with Google investment now too!) and of course Groupon! An incredible group of start-ups :-)

Love some of these, SoundCloud logo is lovely. The Evernote logo was a nice one that I thought may of made it here. I wish most start up businesses would spend time on their logos! Im a logo designer, and think this is the most important element of any start up! Such a false economy buying a cheap logo!
