Hi everyone,
Jenny Witte or 'NiteOwl Designs' is a work-from-home mother and a great graphic designer who has sold a number of designs on DesignBay (she was #2 in our November graphic designer rankings)! Jenny has been kind enough to do an interview with us and share with us why she uses DesignBay!
Interview with NiteOwl Designs
Q: Tell us about yourself?!
A: Graphic design is my passion, hobby and my career. My designs are customized to the clients needs and style preferences. I will work with the client to make sure that their designs uniquely theirs and satisfy their wants.
I live in Des Moines, Iowa with my husband and twin daughters. I stay at home with my twins during the day and in the evening I work on my designs, hence NiteOwl Designs. However, I will work on the designs as needed to meet the deadlines of the clients.
Q: How many years have you been designing?
A: I have over 5 years experience in the design field for help with logos, print ads, postcard, brochures, flyers, web pages, and other graphic designs.
Q: Do you have any qualifications / training?
A: I have attended Iowa State University for my Bachelor's degree in Business and the Art Institute for my Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. However, most of my training is self-taught.
Q: Why do you use DesignBay?
A: I love using DesignBay because they are successful at finding great clients with a variety of needs. It's also a great way to work with clients all over the world. The crew at DesignBay are also very friendly and professional!

Q: So .... What do you like about DesignBay?
A: Everything. I have been to other sites that are unprofessional, this site is professional and the DesignBay crew have set their standards high for great designs.
(Sidebar: I acknowledge this probably seems like propoganda but I have not doctored this or bribed Jenny. However, it is worth noting she has earnt some good money from us so this probably explains her suspiciously enthusiastic praise)
Q: How do you think DesignBay could be improved?
A: I have a few suggestions, the first is let us decide what we would like to show in our portfolio. Sometimes I do a several concepts or revisions to a design and I would like to show only my best designs in my profile/portfolio. Another suggestion is to possibly have the designers that have made the most money and/or have been with DesignBay the longest be on top of the group of graphic designers that the clients see. I noticed that some of the other great designers, like LogoClinic and Logo Design Firm are almost at the bottom of the list.
Good suggestions! We've fixed up the graphic designers directory to order the designers more closely by rank. This will be updated each month! We will look at improving designers' ability to control their profile early in the new year.
