In October, we celebrate 1 year since we launched DesignCrowd in Asia including DesignCrowd.com.sg. We thought it was as good a time as any to check in on the local startup scene and review local company logo designs on offer. The Singapore startup scene is booming. From 3D printing startup, Pirate3D, which raised $1M on Kickstarter to travel search site Wego, which teamed up with home rental marketplace TravelMob (see logo below) and raised $17M in a series C round, it's going gangbusters in Singapore! It is always interesting to see logo designs for startups vary so widely depending upon category and industry and Singapore startups are no exception.
We love the animal-themed logo for Singapore's first statup accelerator, JDFI.Asia aka Joyful Frog Digital Incubator. Speaking of animal-themeed logos, Kudos goes to food-delivery app FoodPanda's mascot, we love it!

The best logo designs include beautiful color schemes, amazing typography, and usually cleverly combine text with graphics including using negative space, to convey exactly what the brand's utility and personality! That being said, we think rapidly growing healthcare doctor appointment booking website, DoctorPage, deserves a better logo (*ahem*, I think DesignCrowd designers can help!).
We've selected 40 company logos feature Singaporean startups and companies that either have Singapore roots or that have a specific division based in Singapore. The range cuts across category and industry and features some awesome design work (see Pitch Pidgeon, Wego and Burpple) and some logos that need updating.
