Reading through the daily gossip mags, you've probably noticed that grills — those strange metallic mouthguards — have gone mainstream.
A-list celebs like Beyonce, Rihanna, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, and Justin Bieber have all appeared in public sporting gold or platinum, often diamond studded, grills.
With this fad taking off, we thought it would be great to see what unlikely candidates would look like if they let their hair down and wore some killer mouth bling. To kick it off, we started out with Disney.
With the brief DesignCrowd’s community of more than 420,000 designers got to work reimagining popular Disney characters from Ariel to Buzz Lightyear and Princess Elsa with grills. Here are some of the best submissions from the design contest:
Badass Timon - The Lion King
Maleficent - Sleeping Beauty
Pocahontas
Princess Jasmine - Aladdin
Mickey Mouse
Buzz Lightyear - Toy Story
Princess Elsa - Frozen
Fera - Beauty and the Beast
Rapunzel
Lightening McQueen - Cars
Disney Family Portrait: Pluto, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Mini Mouse
Taz - Looney Tunes
Ariel - The Little Mermaid
