Start-ups and small businesses are known to stir things up, often in the best possible way. Not surprising then, that some of the most evocative logo designs often pop up in the start-up sector. According to Forbes, the European start-up market is really made up of seven smaller hotspots, and this really shows in the diversity of its ideas and designs. From crowdsourcing platforms to collaborative consumption, practically every category, vertical and business model is covered in this innovative list of startup brands.
The most striking design trend continues to be a focus on flat design with companies opting to show their personality through careful selection of colours, fonts and choice visual elements over decorative embellished logos we've seen in past years. Naturally this not surprising as designers need their designs to cut-through for 'users' who discover new products and services primarily inside digital environments these days.
