Iconic Movie Stars from the Golden Age of Cinema in Today's High Street Fashion

Movie stars from the golden age of cinema are affectionately remembered for their suave style and glamour.

Audrey Hepburn knew how to rock a black dress. Marilyn Monroe is iconic for starring in a white one. And the likes of Cary Grant and Humphry Bogart would always choose a full suit over just slacks.

But what would these fashion icons look like were they were to be dressed in everyday clothes most people now have in their wardrobe?

Who would go for the ripped jeans look? Who would choose a hipsters hat?

DesignCrowd asked its community of designers to use their imagination and Photoshop some fashionable ensembles onto the Hollywood idols of yesteryear.

John Wayne steps out in tweed jacket and long scarf combo. Not a cowboy hat to be seen.

Errol Flynn grows a thick chin beard to add to his iconic pencil moustache.

Audrey Hepburn displaying the smart office chic look, with fitted jeans and shirt.

Marilyn Monroe avoids being caught out by gusts of air in a sensible pair of jeans and a tailored jacket.

Charlie Chaplin trades in his traditional bowler hat to embrace the hipster age.

James Stewart drops the jacked and dons some slim line glasses for the easy workplace look.

James Dean looks typically cool while sporting a neck tattoo, ear stud, and casual woolen jumper.

Grace Kelly pulls off modern power-dressing with pronounced shoulder pads and gelled back hair.

Elvis is the king of rocking a green tartan shirt and thick rimmed glasses.

Frank Sinatra drops the suit for a the leather jacket, jeans, and man bag combination.
