DesignCrowd has teamed up with Loud Shirt Day this year to raise funds and awareness for First Voice, an organization which provides listening and spoken language therapy services to hearing impaired children and their families across Australia and New Zealand.
This Friday's Loud Shirt Day (October 16) is all about having fun and wearing some crazy clothes, so we were after some super amazing out-of-the box t-shirt designs deaf children and all their supporters could wear to be a part of this awesome event.
As always we were blown away by the creativity and skill our t-shirt designers showed. It was hard to pick favorites among all the awesome entries, but after much hand-wringing, here's our top 5 entries for this worthy cause.
Our winner – pallavimshr14
We just love this winning design by Indian graphic designer pallavimshr14. Using simple, bright, bold colors and a child-like, fun typography shows great understanding of the brand and the design's purpose, making this one a sure success.
The silver medal – Aurelio Elejorde
This design by designer Aurelio Elejorde, who is based in the Philippines, focuses on soundwaves, which emphasize the charity's focus on deaf and hearing impaired children. Having the colors bright and playful makes the charity less serious and more sociable and fun, which is really what Loud Shirt Day is all about.
3rd place goes to – wendyRV
It's a shirt within a shirt! Mexican-based designer wendyRV showed a great way to interpret the brand, especially since it incorporates the initiative's logo mark in a fun, creative way. The design has color and pizzazz, and a Hawaiian shirt has just the kind of flair we want for Loud Shirt Day.
Another favorite – 3tpk
Greek designer 3tpk shows how taking the cause or mission statement of a charity or company into account during the creative process can greatly enrich the design, using sign language to make the design appear louder. Creating patterns with dots, flowers and paisley in the hands makes the shirt friendly and extra "loud".
One last design – sai side
Indonesia-based graphic designer sai side did a great job of designing a cute, fun shirt for children. Focusing on the fun day and the charity's mission to help kids, this design is innocent, strong and really adorable. Using only three colors makes the shirt simple and effective.
Don't miss out on the fun! It's not too late to register for Loud Shirt Day.
